In the mid-1970s, a one-room Madrasah was established in Phadgudia village, nurturing Quranic knowledge under Hafiz Mukhtar Sahib. By 2000, deteriorating conditions prompted villagers to build a modern school, blending secular and religious education. Led by local civil engineer Mirza Ashhad Beg, construction began in 2003, with classes starting in 2005. The official inauguration took place in March 2006. Until 2010, the school used Urdu as the medium of instruction, integrating Islamic Education. In 2010, it transitioned to English-medium, adopting a holistic education philosophy integrating modern and Islamic values.

At Hera Public School, our vision is to revive the concept of an Excellent Community (خيرأمت), fostering unity, social cohesion, and harmony at the grassroots level, as outlined in the Quran(3:110). We aim to create a community where individual excellence, material welfare, and moral uprightness thrive. ER. Tarique Azam, born in Azamgarh, UP, is a distinguished leader with a passion for education and community development. A graduate of IIT Madras, he excelled in Civil Engineering, contributing to landmark projects globally. Notable achievements include his role in designing the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur. Retiring from prominent positions in Malaysia, he continues to champion education as Chairman of Hera Public School and Azam Career Development Centre in Phadgudia, Azamgarh, UP. His commitment to holistic education and welfare reflects his dedication to underprivileged communities, embodying a vision for societal upliftment in his native Azamgarh.
